About San Juan Bautista School of Medicine:

Clinical Research Unit

The Clinical Trials Center was established in 2006 under the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine Research Deanship in order to promote clinical research especially in clinical trials. It is a convenient facility for outpatient clinical trials, located on the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine premises.

The Center aims to provide a research infrastructure to support clinical trials carried out in Puerto Rico. In addition, provides quality clinical research services to both industry sponsors as well as individual investigators and entrepreneurs who are interested in clinical drug trials and device development.

Our experienced personnel are on hand to perform phlebotomy, blood, and specimen processing, and handle specimen packaging, shipping, and storage.

Patient Demographics

Our Facilities are located in Caguas, Puerto Rico, near to the metropolitan area of San Juan. This area remains one of the fastest growing with a population estimated at 140,500, plus 400,000 population from the eastern area.

In addition, the San Juan Bautista Medical Center, located in the same facilities of our Medical School, have an outpatient clinic with specializations in Pediatrics (Nephrology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Pneumology, and Hematology sub-specialities), Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics and Surgery. This outpatient clinic serves over 120 patients a day.
